| Bio: | I was born in Manhattan, but was raised in both New York and London-- going back and forth between the two cities every few years when I was young. I think of both cities as being equally "home" to me. I make my living as a film-maker and screenwriter. In my spare time, I like to draw and paint. I am a voracious reader. I enjoy the arts-- writing, cinema, theatre, music, painting, photography, etc... I am probably too cerebral for my own good. I am also probably too verbal for my own good. I spend most of my time steeped in words, language, and linguistic ideation-- I make my living crafting meticulous dialogue. Hence, my need to spend time involved in a completely NON-verbal activity. The visual arts do this for me. For me, drawing and painting are a sort of therapeutic counter-balance to the rigors of screenwriting... Sometimes, I like being alone in the woods. I love the ocean... Sometimes, I talk to animals and sometimes animals talk to me, sort of... I believe in magic... For as long as I can remember, I have known that when I grow up I want to be a mythological folk-hero... |
